This Weeks Top Picks

Tonight at Gilt, keep your eye on Zachary's Smile. This boutique, which has two locations in New York City, prides itself on vintage-inspired clothing, footwear and accessories. The price points are a bit high for pre-owned items but this sale should be worthwhile.

Be sure to check out the Alexander Wang sale at my favorite site, Gilt! This young and super talented designer is a favorite among A-listers and UESers because of his sexy and chic ready-to-wear collection and accessories. He doesn't come cheap so if I were you, I would jump all over this sale.

Rory Beca creates vintage-inspired, wearable collections. Although the collection doesn't 'wow' me, I am drawn to the simple and feminine pieces. See her discounted collection at Billion Dollar Babes.

Decades/Decadestwo are LA based über upscale vintage boutiques which are extremely drool-worthy. They have an exclusive deal with Hautelook where they sell discounted pieces for a limited time and I am usually all over them like white on rice. I love sloppy seconds, don't you? While the original Decades boutique carries vintage designs from the 1930's to the 1990's, Decadestwo carries contemporary clothing and accessories from the 1990's to present. Make sure to visit this sale as soon as it starts because I guarantee you, everything will be gone within minutes.

I ♥ Free People. Flirty, fun, comfortable, flowy and bohemian are the best words to describe their style. Urban Outfitters Inc. owns them along with Urban Outfitters, Anthropology, Terrain and Leifsdottir. Each store caters to a different age group but Free People claims to cater to the 27 year old woman. They're pricier than Urban but similar to Anthropology's price tags. Just wonderfully constructed, extremely comfortable casual wear. Check them out at Hautelook.

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm not familiar with Naeem Khan's name or designs. Seeing his name on Gilt's sale page, I Googled him and was pleasantly surprised to find dazzling pieces of art. He sells his dresses through Bergdorf, Neiman Marcus, Harrod's and Saks so that should give you an kind of idea of how expensive his collections are. If you have an event to wear his dresses to, definitely check out the sale!

Tired of carrying your laptop and everday essentials in 'blah' bags? Take a look at Melissa Beth's line of cute and fashionable laptop bags, makeup cases, travelers and jewelry rolls. Each bag is super spacious and teflon-coated for those who tend to throw things around like I do. I'm keeping an eye on the makeup case (retail $48) and jewelry roll (retail $36) at Ideeli.

I've realized that as I've aged, comfort is the most important factor when picking out shoes, while fashion comes second. Why should women have to sacrifice comfort for fashion? Why can't we have both? Some designers have got it right such as Marais. Started by two young New Yorkers, this line won't break the bank especially since it's part of the sandal sale at Gilt! Their shoes runs large so order a half-size to one full-size smaller than what you would normally wear. Other featured designers are 80%20, Coclico and Matt Bernson.
