Attention Nordstrom Lovers

Nordstrom is finally in New York!  Well, sort of.

Treasure & Bond, which opened today, is a full-priced charitable concept store.  Where did the concept come from?  Why by Mr. Nordstrom himself, Anna Wintour (no one says no to the devil!) and Catie Marron (NY Public Library chairman).

It's a far cry from an actual Nordstrom because of the industrial design and very downtown vibe.  They carry apparel, jewelry, handbags and home goods.  The lines are unknown, funky and fashion-forward. There's lots of draping and dark colors such as gray, black and taupe. So if you're looking for a frilly bright party dress, this is not the store for you.

The New York children's charities they donate to (100% of profits after expenses!) will change every three months.  They're listed on their website and will post how much is donated to each charity.  Pretty neat.  Full-priced is meh but not so meh for charity.  So head on down to 350 West Broadway between Broome and Grand in Soho and spend a little for a good cause.
