Yesterday, I was in the city enjoying the beautiful weather. Everyone was out and about because it was such a gorgeous day! I noticed a blind man standing on a street corner surrounded by busy New Yorker's. I walked away but looked back periodically to check on him. After a few minutes, I noticed that he was standing alone, waiting for someone to tell him that he could walk. Mind you, he was surrounded by people. None of the assholes even bothered to tell him that he could walk and left him high and dry, so I ran from a block away and asked him if he wanted help crossing the street. He happily obliged.
Seriously, New Yorker's! I understand the need to rush to whatever important events you need to get to, but how dare you leave a poor old man on the street corner, a blind man! Moral of this story? Please, please, please don't be a jerk. PLEASE do the right thing and help those that really need it.
