Pink Tartan is pretty, polished and elegant. The Co-Founder/President/Head Designer, Kimberly Newport-Mimran, ultimately designs for herself.  She believes that if the clothes fit her and she feels good in them, then her customers will love it too.  Although I disagree with such a bold statement, I do agree that the clothes are beautifully-made and practical to wear from day to night.  Hey, if I like it, you better like it too.  See the collection at Rue La La.

 

MONDAY, 8.16

I ♥ Balenciaga. The leather is buttery, soft and extremely lightweight.  When it comes to my feet, I sometimes have to sacrifice fashion for comfort but I don't mess around with my bags.  Lightweight + eye candy = heaven.  Chanel's bags are also stunning but not worth those sky-high price tags.  Chanel + discount = happiness.  This is why I am loving Billion Dollar Babes as of late.  Once in a while, they have these wonderful sales worthy of attention.  This is one sale not to be missed.

TUESDAY, 8.17

Chan Luu's wrap bracelets and scarves have been a favorite among celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Aniston and Rihanna.  Inspired by nature and world cultures, this Vietnamese American designer launched her RTW Collection in 2004.  Her jewelry is featured in the September issue of Marie Claire with Mary Kate Olsen on the cover.  Check out her line at Rue La La!

Love Angel Music Baby.  L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefanie, who is a rock goddess.  This cool collection defines her rocker style, eclectic fashion sense and of course, her elegance.  I love when a designer's personality and style really shows through their collections.  That's real talent, baby.  Don't let me down, rock steady at Rue La La.

THURSDAY, 8.19

As I was cleaning out my closet the other day, I found the Jimmy Choo pumps that I purchased at a sample sale a few years ago.  I couldn't resist the $50 price tag plus they were so pretty even though they were obviously worn & torn and needed some TLC.  So as I took them out of the box and tried them on, I realized that I couldn't give them up because they're just too damned pretty to part with.  Alas, it's time to give them that well-deserved TLC.  Ivory Trunk is having a sale and lucky for you, they're brand spanking new.

SATURDAY, 8.21

See the summer staples and California designs at Hautelook's Blowout sale.  You'll find tees, tanks, dresses and outerwear.  Saturday blowout sales are the bestest.  The only negative thing is that you can't return the items so be sure that it's something you definitely want.
