Peppermint This

I don't like washing my hair everyday because it strips out the natural oils so I've been searching for the perfect scented dry shampoo that will keep my hair smelling and looking great. Why is it so hard to find this combination? It's not that far fetched. One would think that if there's a regular shampoo that smells good, there would also be a dry shampoo that smells just as good, right? I contemplated the powders but I don't want to touch my scalp and have black stains all over my fingers. Yuck. The sprays are the best option out there, in my opinion, because they're easy to apply and won't leave a powdery residue. My first encounter was with the Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo and my second, with KMS Hairplay Makeover Spray.

I read great reviews about Batiste, especially about the Blush scent. For the $7 price tag, who could refuse? I used it a few times and after each use, the nauseating smell became unbearable. Instead of flowers or bubble gum, it smells like an old woman's bottom. I don't know if the people who reviewed this spray lost their sense of smell, but I sure haven't and my advice is to NOT use this. Yes, it may make your hair look clean but it's not worth smelling like you put way too many products in your hair and risking people jumping off bridges to get away from you. Warning: The can is extremely flammable. Hmm, wonder why?!

Ingredients: Butane, Isobutane, Oryza Sativa (rice) Starch, Propane, Alcohol Denat., Parfum (fragrance), Coumarin Eugenol, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Cetrimonium Chloride.

Although this isn't advertised as a dry shampoo, it acts as one, if not better. The scent is oh-so-yummy, a real peppermint delight! It absorbs oil, bulks up your roots and has a light peppermint & grape scent. If you spray it directly onto your roots and comb it out, it really will "refresh" your locks. It's a little more expensive but well worth the (approximately) $14 price tag.

Ingredients: pentane, hydrofluorocarbon 152a, alcohol denatured, rice starch, water, propylene glycol, lactic acid, glycerin, grape extract, peppermint leaf extract, pca, tarataric acid, sorbitol, pyruvic acid, malic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid, fragrance.
